Intentional career path
Introduction
The APMP ANZ Intentional Career Path (ICP) Task Force is a group of volunteers passionate about promoting the bids and proposals industry as an intentional career path. We believe this is a rewarding and exciting field with much to offer, and we want to help more people discover it.
Mission
To promote our region's bid/proposal industry as a career path and make it an intentional career choice.
Key Initiatives
Create paths and partnerships with educational institutions.
Introduce students to bids and proposals industry and APMP.
Help students develop the skills they need to succeed in this field.
Achievements
In October 2024, APMP ANZ Intentional Career Path (ICP) Committee Member Paige Duffy CF APMP presented to The University of Queensland’s Writing for the Professions cohort.
Paige presented an Introduction to Bids and Proposals as part of the cohort’s Corporate Communications learning outcome, exploring the role of bidding for contemporary businesses to secure revenue and sustain employment. The cohort was enlightened to the real possibility of securing an intentional career as a bids and proposals professional and the opportunity this grants to flex their creative skills through applying persuasive writing techniques to craft a compelling and winning submission.
The presentation was a great success with the ICP Committee receiving queries from some attendees interested in understanding how to pursue their own bidding and proposals career.
